The "Who" Behind TraMar Shih Tzu

Mrs. Traci Knoppe is the owner of TraMar Shih Tzu, a mom of six children and wife to Mark (TraMar being the first three letters of Traci & Mark's names).  Having loved animals her whole life; without a doubt, dogs are her passion.  Adopting senior rescues is something Traci feels very strongly about; adopting three senior rescues (of various breeds) herself.  One of these seniors was a Shih Tzu named Mandy.  Mandy stole Traci's heart and her love for the breed began. 

After learning more about the breed, Traci opted to get her second Shih Tzu (Prince of Crown Bearing - "Bear") from a responsible breeder.  Bear has an awesome pedigree, and lives the good life of a much pampered pet.   Nearly four years after bringing Bear home, Traci decided to get another Shih Tzu - this time, a female (Rosie).  However with a twist; Traci did more than a year of research on conformation dog showing and dog breeding and decided to take her passion to a new level:  dog breeder and may one day show her dogs in conformation. 

Traci is a member of the Missouri Pet Breeders Association and is in the process of organizing a chapter closer to St Louis.  She is also supports both the Animal Pet Registry, Inc. (APRI) and American Kennel Club (AKC), with her dogs being registered with both registries.  Traci firmly believes in being fully involved and active in whatever breed one is passionate about.
